Goa's Dabolim airport lifts ban on visitors
The Goa airport will lift the ban on visitors entering its premises from Tuesday, airport officials said. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) had imposed a ban on visitors entering the airport terminal building due to security concerns and avoid causing inconvenience to passengers. "We will lift the restrictions from January 3. Things would be normal," they said in Panaji. In view of terror threat during the tourist season, most of the vital establishments in the state, including the airport located in the port town of Vasco, were put on high alert with deployment of additional security personnel. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) along with Goa Police have been maintaining security at the airport.
