Train services hit by rains in Vijayawada division

Breaches and waterlogging of tracks due to heavy rains have disrupted train services on the Uppgundur-Ammanabrolu section in the Vijayawada division of South Central Railway. As a result, the Chennai-Howrah Coromandel Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Guwahati Express and Nagercoil-Howrah weekly Express, scheduled to arrive at Howrah today, were running via a diverted route and would reach behind their scheduled time of arrival. Apart from this, the Yeshwantpur-Howrah Express too will arrive behind its scheduled time, a SER release said today.
