Air Arabia's Chennai-Sharjah flight begins
Low cost airline Air Arabia Thursday began its fifth flight from an Indian city, with a daily service between Chennai and Sharjah. A one-way flight would cost about Rs.5,600 ($125) including taxes. Air Arabia CEO Adel Ali said the Gulf-India market is one of the fastest growing markets for Air Arabia.
"UAE has a open sky policy for Indian carriers and we hope India will offer the same," he said. Air Arabia also operates out of Kochi, Jaipur, Nagpur and Mumbai. Flights from Thiruvanathapuram to Sharjah will start soon.
