Thai Airways adds three more Indian destinations
Thai Airways today announced the commencement of air services to three new Indian cities - Varanasi, Gaya and Hyderabad - to Bangkok from October 30, taking its total number of Indian destinations to eight. Thai airlines will fly to the new destinations as part of the expansion of its services between the two countries, Thai Airways general manager (India) Viroj Sirihorachai told reporters here.
The flights from Gaya and Varanasi to Bangkok and its return journey would operate on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, while those between Hyderabad and Bangkok would operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, he said. Referring to the impact of the military coup in that country on tourism, Viroj said the political development has had no impact, whatsoever, as flights from various destinations abroad continued to log 100 per cent booking.
