Cabinet approves India-US aviation pact

The cabinet approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding between India and the US for developing an aviation cooperation programme. 'It would be a specific co-operation programme in the civil aviation regime for seeking assistance under the umbrella of co-operation framework agreement signed between the Department of Economic Affairs - and United States Trade and Development Agency - on Nov 9, 2005,' said an official statement issued after a cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
