Kingfisher Airlines not to cancel A380 order

Kingfisher Airlines said it would not cancel its order for the A380 aircraft from Airbus despite a delay in the delivery schedule, although it is working out on a compensation package with the European firm. "The fundamentals of the industry hasn't changed since the time we have ordered the aircraft and the choice of aircraft remains the same, therefore, we are not canceling the order," Kingfisher Airlines chairman and managing director Vijay Mallya said. He said a compensation package with the European aerospace firm is being worked out. Kingfisher Airlines was supposed to get A380 from Airbus in January 2010, which has now been postponed to December.
