Kuwait Airways cooperating with probe

Kuwait Airways said it was cooperating with Indian authorities in investigations into the straying of its aircraft into the high-security no-fly zone.
The Kuwait Airways flight had created a security scare on Monday when it deviated from its path after take-off from the IGI Airport, Delhi and moved towards the no-fly zone towards the Prime Minister's House. "Kuwait Airways has requested the Indian Air Traffic Control Authorities for an investigation regarding the change of route of the flight after take off from Delhi," said senior Regional Director of the Airline Fahad Al Dhafiri. He said the pilot of the aircraft was contacted by the ATC shortly after it was airborne and informed him that the flight had taken an "erroneous direction" and that its course should be changed. "The pilot-in-command assured the ATC that he had been following their directions all through. However, he would change his direction as directed by them," he said.
