Aircraft returns to airport following bird hit, all safe

A Delhi-bound Indian flight with 90 people on board returned to the Vadodra airport this morning shortly after take off following a bird hit, the Airlines sources said. All the 83 passengers and seven crew on board the A-319 aircraft, were safe, the sources said.

Flight number 817 was hit by a bird after it took off for Delhi in the morning, they said. Engineers were being flown to carry out repairs, the sources said. All the passengers were later flown to Delhi by a Mumbai-Delhi flight, which was diverted here to accommodate them.
