New IITTM at Noida
With the growth of tourism industry fuelling the demand for well trained hospitality personnel, the government has decided to set up a tourism and travel management institute at Noida costing Rs 14.52 crores. The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), which will be the fourth such centre in the country, will have a sprawling five-acre campus in sector 62. Minister of Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni will lay the foundation stone on January 18. The Institute will offer a two year postgraduate diploma course in tourism and leisure management and short courses on management development programmes and capacity building for service provider. The other IITTMs are in Gwalior, Bhubaneswar and Goa.
