Jet Airways launches IVR service

India's premier private airline Jet Airways on Tuesday launched an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) based payment and ticketing service. The service will allow customers to complete their reservation with their credit cards through a secure gateway and instantly receive their e-tickets via email, subject to certain terms and conditions, the company said in a statement. It has been launched through the call centres of the airline, wherein customers can book and pay for their e-tickets over an exclusively customised and secure IVR system, it added. In the first phase, the rupee and dollar equivalent fares can be booked and ticketed through the new system. The company has also introduced an innovative pay online service, which allows the passengers to pay for and issue e-tickets against an already created booking.
