Thar Express train cancelled till February

The Thar express train service linking Munabao in Rajasthan with Khokhrapar in Pakistan's Sindh province will remain suspended till February 3, a Railway spokesman said. The service has been suspended as a major portion of the track on the Barmer-Jodhpur section is still inundated and the authorities are waiting for the water to recede or to be siphoned off to start repair work, S B Gandhi, chief spokesman of North-Western Railway, said. The service has been non-operational since August 24 following heavy floods in Barmer district of Rajasthan.
