Indus Airways flies finally !


With 17 passengers in its belly a CRJ200 50-seater bearing the logo of Indus Airways touched down at Chandigarh airport at 1155. And with it has commenced the much awaited air service that directly connects the city to Mumbai and also promises to link the much sought-after destination of Goa. Captain M S Sandhu, GM (Operations), Indus Airways, received and garlanded the passengers with sweets who reached Chandigarh. “It is the fruit of all the labour that company has put into starting this services. We would strive towards giving the best services to our customers,“ said Captain Sandhu. He claimed that Indus provided business class facilities at economy class prices. It is the only airways operating a direct flight from Chandigarh to Mumbai currently and had 28 passengers on its maiden flight that took off for Mumbai. According to Captain Sandhu, Indus would make Chandigarh a major hub with direct connections to Jammu, Srinagar, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata and other major Indian cities. "We would be starting a hopping flight to Goa via Mumbai from next week. Later the other centres would be connected gradually," assured Captain Sandhu. As of now, Indus would have one flight daily on Delhi-Chandigarh-Mumbai route and vice versa.
