Singapore Airlines announces special offer
Valentine's Day is over a month away. But the party seems to have already begun. Singapore Airlines has announced a special "Valentine's Day" promotion of Rs. 14,207 a person to Singapore from Bangalore. The offer includes taxes and surcharges and entails a reduction in the return economy fare by about 65 per cent. Applicable for a minimum of two passengers travelling together, this promotional offer could be availed from January 8 to 10, and is valid for travel out of Bangalore from February 11 to 13. Tickets could be booked through travel agents, the airlines or online through ww.singaporeair.com. Onboard, the airline serves gourmet cuisine. With the recent introduction of chef Sanjeev Kapoor on their international culinary panel, first class passengers are given an option of Indian cuisine and customers who require special meals for religious or medical reasons are also catered to.
Also available onboard is the entertainment system "KrisWorld", which provides over 500 entertainment options including blockbuster Hollywood and Bollywood movies and music albums. Singapore Airlines, which first launched its service in the country with a flight to Chennai in 1970, now operates 48 weekly flights to eight destinations in India. These include double daily flights to Mumbai, daily flights to Delhi and Chennai, six times a week to Bangalore, four flights a week to Kolkatta and Hyderabad and three flights weekly each to Ahmedabad and Amritsar. In addition, its subsidiary regional airline SilkAir operates daily flights to Kochi and four flights to Thiruvananthapuram.
