SpiceJet Consolidates its Network with introduction of 9th Aircraft

With induction of new new-generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet of eight, SpiceJet today announced consolidation plan of its existing network. SpiceJet will launch six new direct daily flights (Delhi-Hyderabad, Hyderabad - Bangalore, Bangalore - Delhi, Delhi - Bangalore, Bangalore - Hyderabad and Hyderabad - Delhi). On Delhi – Hyderabad sector this will be the third flight and on Delhi – Bangalore sector this will be second flight.
Announcing the expansion plan, Mr. Siddhanta Sharma, CEO SpiceJet said, “SpiceJet strictly follows international and proven model of low-cost airline. Instead of opening more routes, we believe in introducing more flights on existing routes." "Not only did this allow us to strictly follow the proven low cost model of airlines like SouthWest and EasyJet, it also gave us space to put in place on-time performance and continued reliability of our operations."
The above routing will provide us with a morning DEL-HYD, HYD-BLR service, and evening return service on BLR-HYD and HYD-DEL sectors. In addition, we will also a daily direct flight between DEL-BLR-DEL sectors. All the new sectors will start with the Red Hot Special Fares of Rs. 799 to Rs 1799, available for booking with effect from 18th November, 2006 and will be sold through SpiceJet’s website www.spicejet.com
