SWR to introduce super fast Howrah-Vasco-da-Gama-Howrah Exp

The South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to extend 7227/7228 Vijayawada-Vasco-Da-Gama-Vijayawada tri-weekly Amaravathi express to Howrah duly converting it into a super fast express and renumbering the train no as 2847/2828 Howrah-Vasco-Da-Gama-Howrah with four days a week. From Howrah it will leave on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday commencing from December 9 and Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from Vasco-Da-Gama from December 10, according to a SWR release. The train will have total 16 coaches in all, consisting of one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier coach, eight second class sleepers, four general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans. There are four coaches from Kacheguda-Vasco- one AC 2-tier, two second class sleepers and one second class luggage-cum-brake van. Hence, between Vasco-Da-Gama and Guntakal there are 20 coaches and between Guntakal and Howrah sixteen coaches, the release added.
