Colourful Ooty Summer festival being planned

A light and sound show, food fest and photo exhibition would add colour to the coming 'Ooty Summer Festival' which is otherwise famous for the Annual Flower Carnival. A meeting held under the chairmanship of district collector Santosh K Mishra discussed holding the light and sound show at the Ooty Stone House, a goethic style structure built by founder of Ooty John Sullivan. The show would highlight the adventurous exploration of Sullivan almost two centuries hack. The top hotels in the the tourist hub agreed to hold an exquisite and unique food festival, with Rajasthani, Goan and local food being the main attraction. The prestigious Light and Life Academy announced holding a photographic exhibition during the festival in May 2007. The flower show will be held for the 111th year this time, the collector said. The collector called for sponsors to make the summer festival a big success.
